# When will my payment arrive?

> The email Cleo Pay sends when a business pays you has the arrival time in its subject line. It's usually 1 to 3 business days. A second email tells you when the payment was sent to your bank and the date your bank should credit it.

When a business pays you through Cleo Pay, we email you, and the subject line says when to expect the money. It's usually 1 to 3 business days. When the payment leaves Cleo Pay for your bank, a second email gives the date your bank should credit it. Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting bank holidays.

## The emails you'll get

| Subject line | What it means |
|---|---|
| "[amount] on the way from [business] ([arrival time])" | The business has paid. The money is moving and should reach you within the time shown. |
| "[amount] from [business] sent to your bank, expected [date]" | The money has left Cleo Pay for your bank. Banks usually credit it by that date. |
| "[amount] from [business] deposited to your bank account" | The money is in your bank account. |
| "[amount] from [business] is in your Cleo Pay balance" | You have a Cleo Pay balance, and the money is there now. |

The subject may start with your business name. "Sent" means the money is on its way into your bank and your bank hasn't credited it yet. "Deposited" means it's there. A bank can still send a payment back after it's sent. If that happens, we email you. See [My bank sent a payment back](https://cleo-pay.com/help/your-bank-sent-a-payment-back).

## The arrival times you'll see

| Arrival time in the email | When you'll see it |
|---|---|
| 1 business day | The payment was sent to your bank by same-day ACH. |
| 1 to 2 business days | The business paid from its Cleo Pay balance, or the money is already on its way to your bank. |
| 1 to 3 business days | The business paid from its bank account. The money moves into Cleo Pay first, then out to you. |

The business chooses how to pay, so you can't change the arrival time from your side. For more detail, see [How long do Cleo Pay payments take?](https://cleo-pay.com/help/how-long-do-payments-take)

## If you haven't had an email at all

We don't send the "on the way" email while a payment is held for you. If the business says it paid and you haven't had one, you may not have finished signing up, or Cleo Pay may have no bank account it can pay you in. See [Your payment is waiting: finish setting up to get it](https://cleo-pay.com/help/finish-setting-up-to-get-your-payment).

If the business marked the invoice paid in Cleo Pay but paid you some other way, the email says it was recorded manually and no deposit from Cleo is on the way.

## If the date has passed

1. Sign in at app.cleo-pay.com and open **Get Paid**.
2. Click the payment. Check the **Expected arrival** date.
3. If there's an **ACH trace number**, give it to your bank. It helps them find the deposit.
4. If your bank can't find it, email support@cleo-pay.com with the name of the business, the amount and the **Reference** shown on the payment.
